Domestic demands drove MLBI’s sales up by 16.7%

JAKARTA. PT Multi Bintang Indonesia Tbk (MLBI) recorded sales of IDR 1.33 trillion by the end of the first half of 2022, shifting 16.7% higher than the number reported in the same period last year.

MLBI’s sales in H1 2022 was dominated by the contribution of alcoholic beverages, which brought in IDR 1.13 trillion or approximately 85.3% of the total sales. Then, the remaining IDR 193.82 billion came from non-alcoholic drinks.

MLBI’s domestic sales had indeed shown 17.01% year-on-year (yoy) improvement, whereas its export numbers were going down 42.8% yoy.

All in all, MLBI’s victorious sales growth in H1 2022 allowed the net profit to advance 40% yoy to IDR 394.26 billion. In the first half of 2021, MLBI only managed to turn in a net profit of IDR 281.62 billion.

Until June 30, 2022, MLBI recorded total assets of IDR 2.82 trillion, while its equity was totalled at IDR 632.85 billion. (KR/ZH)
