JAKARTA - MNC Group Executive Chairman Hary Tanoesoedibjo officially appointed Prof. Dr. K.H. Said Aqil Siroj as President Commissioner of PT MNC Televisi Network (iNews) and PT MNC Portal Indonesia (MPI) at MNC Conference Hall, iNews Tower, Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (14/9/2022).
KH Said Aqil brought a lot of progress with various breakthroughs during his time as General Chair of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board. Said Aqil led the largest Muslim organization in Indonesia, even one of the most influential Islamic organizations in the world, for two periods, 2010-2015 and 2015-2020.
Hary admitted that Indonesia is currently in an information crisis. To be a great nation, of course there must be honesty and constructiveness in building news. That way, the community needs to be equipped with something good, so that they can join hands together to build the coveted Indonesia.
"So, I am very optimistic that he will bring fresh air not only to MNC, in general, but also to the Indonesian people," said Hary.
Meanwhile, Said Aqil said he was grateful for the appointment by Hary Tanoesoedibjo as President Commissioner of PT MNC Televisi Network (iNews) and PT MNC Portal Indonesia (MPI).
"I have the honor of being invited by Pak Hary Tanoe to join MNC Group, especially as the president commissioner," he said.
He hopes that his presence in MNC Group can bring benefits and blessings, especially in the field of news and information in educating the nation. (LM)
