JAKARTA – Paulus Totok Lusida, President Commissioner of PT Industri dan Perdagangan Bintarco Dharma Tbk (CARS), has reportedly gradually divested its shares since the first week of August 2022. Lusida has then collected IDR 73.83 billion of fresh funds from this transaction.

Quoting the information disclosure today (23/9), Lusida reportedly sold 2.64% of his shares in CARS, approximately 395,580,600 units, for IDR 66 each on August 25, 2022. Once calculated, the value clocked up to IDR 26.10 billion. His portion then declined from 11.97% to 9.33%, amounting to 1.4 billion shares of the total listed shares of CARS of 15 billion units.

On September 12, 2022, Lusida once again sold 2.51% of his portion, approximately 376.5 million shares for IDR 119 each, totalling up to IDR 44.80 billion. It brought his portion down from 9.33% to 6.82% or 1,023,500 shares.

The next day on September 13, 2022, Lusida divested 0.15% of his portion or 23.5 million shares for IDR 125 each, bringing it to a total value of IDR 2.93 billion. In the end, his remaining portion is down to 6.67% or 1 billion shares.

This systematic divestment presumably pertains to new investors in CARS.

“The shareholder’s decision to divest his shares is a personal decision,” Benny Redjo Setyono, President Director of CARS, announced in the public expose treatise quoted Friday (23/9).

According to Setyono, Lusida had been suggested to step in as the President Commissioner by other shareholders during the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting on June 24, 2022. (LK/ZH)
