BEKASI - President Joko Widodo accompanied by the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono inaugurated two toll roads in the Greater Jakarta area, namely the Cibitung-Cilincing section (Jakarta Outer Ring Road/2) and the Serpong-Balaraja section Section 1A (JORR 3) in Gabus Toll Gate, Bekasi Regency, West Java, Tuesday.
President Jokowi said the presence of the 27.2 kilometer Cibitung-Cilincing Toll Road could accelerate the mobility of goods originating from industrial areas and logistics areas spread across Karawang and Bekasi to Tanjung Priok Port in North Jakarta.
"This speed will facilitate the mobility of goods and services, as well as strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesian products to be exported," said President Jokowi
The Cibitung-Cilincing Toll Road has a total length of 34.8 km. Section 1 (Cibitung – Telaga Asih) with a length of 3.03 km is already operating 2.65 km by July 2021, Sections 2 and 3 (Telaga Asih – Tarumajaya) are 24.5 km, and Section 4 (Tarumajaya – Cilincing) is under construction. 96% with a target for completion in December 2022.
On that occasion, President Jokowi also inaugurated the Serpong-Balaraja Toll Road Section 1A (Serpong-CBD) along the 4 km. The Serpong-Balaraja Toll Road section connects JORR 3 with the CBD, so it is expected to increase connectivity access and serve the logistics needs of industrial estates concentrated in Tangerang to Serang and Cilegon.
