JAKARTA - PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk (BBTN) is targeting 1,000 applications for home purchases through the KPR Rent To Own (RTO) scheme which was just launched yesterday (12/10).

According to the Bisnis report, BTN cooperates with two RTO providers, namely CicilSewa and TapHomes. "Currently, there are more than 20 landed and vertical residential developers collaborating with RTO providers, of course there will be more in the future," said Consumer Director of Bank BTN Hirwandi Gafar quoted from Bisnis.

For information, KPR RTO is a new scheme where people can rent housing for a maximum period of 3 years before buying it. This scheme was created considering that most of the current generation prefers to rent a house because they have not prepared a down payment and Hirwandi also sees that millennials have not been able to buy a house in a location close to their workplace.

CicilSewa President Director Andrew Buntoro said his party would support the market expansion process. Through this RTO, consumers can rent houses per month for a maximum of 3 years, after the period expires, they can apply for a mortgage.

The cooperation between these three parties will last for the next 5 years. They will also work together to evaluate and open up opportunities to continue to collaborate. (LM)
