JAKARTA. PT Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk (META) will need a budget of over IDR 9 trillion to complete several projects in the next five years.

Chief Operating Officer of Nusantara Infrastructure, Danni Hasan, claimed that some projects call for higher amount of funding, bringing it into over IDR 9 trillion. “Every new project might spend IDR 9 trillion, albeit not at once. However, we will not use equity-based funding, as there are internal cash and bonds,” he explained during a media briefing on Thursday (27/10).

Hasan claimed that META is currently handling the development of BSD Toll Road. The company reportedly won additional concession of 12 years. This development includes establishing the flood mitigation system, improving toll road safety of the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) 2, and easing the flow of Kunciran-Serpong and Cinere-Serpong routes.

Then, META’s next development project is establishing a strategic access for toll roads in Makassar that head towards Makassar New Port through an elevated toll road. Lastly, META will also be involved in the new construction of JORR Elevated Toll Road, which currently is under the tender process of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR). This new toll road is said to span 21.5 kilometres, connecting Ulujami, Jagorawi, and Jatiasih. For the record, META currently has three primary business lines, including the toll road, clean water supply, and new and renewable energy (NRE). (AM/ZH)
