Summary of market hints: investors are off stock

JAKARTA - The changes in ownership in the stock market on Friday, November 11, were dominated by investors selling. The highest sales volume was made by PT Sinar Mas Cakrawala, the majority shareholder of PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA), which sold nearly 14 million SMMA shares. Furthermore, PT Pusaka Citra Djokosoetono sold more than 8 million shares of taxi service issuer PT Blue Bird Tbk (BIRD), followed by the sale of 1.2 million shares of PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) by PT Asuransi Jiwa IFG.

The trading activities of foreign investors are no less active. Four investors released their shares this time, starting with the continued sale of 13.5 million shares of PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk (BCAP) by UOB Kay Hian (Hong Kong) Ltd. Following that, Singapore-based Archipelago Investment Pte Ltd. sold 2.5 million shares of PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (EMTK), while China-based Bintang Bara B.V. sold 2.1 million shares of PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA). Lastly, Cathay Life Insurance also continues to reduce its ownership of PT Bank Mayapada Internasional Tbk (MAYA), this time by nearly 1.2 million shares.

On the other hand, three investors recorded an increase in their ownership percentage, although not significantly. First, PT 1 Inti Dot Com added 5 million shares of the information technology issuer PT NFC Indonesia Tbk (NFCX). Then, there was PT Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring Tbk (DGIK), which bought back 2.5 million of its shares, while individual investor Liong Juen Fat purchased another 1.5 million shares of PT Estika Tata Tiara Tbk (BEEF).
