Net foreign volume is minus 160 million shares

18 November 2022 07:52

JAKARTA - On Wednesday (16/11), the net foreign volume fell below negative 160 million shares. The high volume of foreign sales was caused by foreigners selling nearly 130 million shares of a major banking issuer, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), making the net volume negative 71 million shares. Due to the sales of 140 million BBRI shares and 113 million TLKM shares by foreign investors, two SOEs—Bank Rakyat Indonesia and Telkom—followed this figure.

In the private sector issuer market, foreign investors sold 48 million shares of telecommunication issuer PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk as well as 37 million shares of coal issuer PT Kapuas Prima Coal Tbk. These two issuers recorded a net volume of close to negative 40 million shares.

On the other hand, the highest foreign purchase volume was reported by PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), with 224 million shares. Unfortunately, the issuer had to register a net volume of fewer than 47 million shares due to the issuer's high sales volume. Next, even though only 219 million shares were purchased by foreigners, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) had the greatest net volume with a net of 108 million.

Furthermore, foreign investors also purchased nearly 30 million shares of PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA), a distributor of mobile products and services, followed by 46 million shares of insurance issuer PT Panin Financial Tbk (PNLF) and 31 million shares of textile issuer PT Trisula Textile Industries Tbk (BELL). All three issuers reported a net foreign volume of around 27 million shares. (KD)
