Erajaya Swasembada repurchased 43.28 million shares in 3 months

JAKARTA. PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) has completed a buyback of 43.28 million units of shares within the past three months.

Amelia Allen, VP Head of Legal & Corporate Secretary of ERAA, confirmed that the buyback had been carried out from September 8 to December 7, 2022. The grand total of funds used for this corporate action reportedly reached IDR 19.28 billion.

For the record, the realisation of ERAA’s buyback budget is far lower than the initial allocated funds. On September 7, 2022, the company mentioned of having allocated the budget for buyback of IDR 300 billion.

As of September 30, 2022, ERAA recorded total assets worth IDR 16.02 trillion, with a cash and cash equivalent of IDR 497.57 billion. Meanwhile, its total equity clocked up to IDR 6.75 trillion.

At the closing of today’s (9/12) trading session, ERAA’s stock price was seen weakened 2 points to IDR 398 per share. Even more so, since the beginning of this year until now (year-to-date/ytd), the stock price of this electronic device retailer has gone down 202 points or 33.67% lower than IDR 600 per share.
