JAKARTA – The profit of PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) proliferated 279.32% to USD 70.25 million in Q3 2022 from USD 18.52 million seen in the same period in 2021. This achievement was made possible by increases in revenue.
In the financial statement quoted Monday (19/12), Albert Saputro, President Director of Merdeka Copper Gold, claimed that the revenue had reached USD 626.01 million in Q3 2022, shifting 139.71% upwards from USD 261.15 million in Q3 2021.
The revenue was collected from exports of gold, silver, copper cathode, and ferronickel, which generated USD 521.21 million. Domestic sales also clocked up to USD 96.73 million, while the income from hedging reached USD 6.04 million.
The third-party users with over 10% contribution to the revenue included Precious Metals Global Markets (HSBC) of USD 218.57 million, Hong Kong Kong Rui Po Limited of USD 126.58 million, and Mitsui & Co Ltd of USD 72.11 million.
The gross profit reportedly increased 95.53% year-on-year (yoy) from USD 73.69 million to USD 144.10 million in Q3 2022. The operating profit also soared 106.24% yoy from USD 52.54 million to USD 108.36 million. (LK/ZH)
