Foreign purchases were quiet, with a net foreign volume of -860 million shares

JAKARTA - The movement of foreign investor transactions appeared to be quiet at the start of the third week of December. On Monday, December 19, foreign sales totaled slightly more than 2 billion pieces, while foreign purchases totaled only 1.22 billion. The net foreign volume also reached minus 860 million, with GOTO contributing nearly minus 570 million shares, as these shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) were released by foreigners in significant volume, totaling 828.78 million shares. Following right behind GOTO, foreign shareholders also sold 62.15 million shares of PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR) with a net volume of minus 56.89 million.

Aside from that, foreign investors were seen selling shares in other issuers. First, 27.59 million shares of PT Borneo Olah Sarana Sukses Tbk (BOSS) were sold, bringing the net volume to minus 27.24 million. Following that, foreigners sold as many as 31.71 million shares of PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi (MTEL) and as many as 21.59 million shares of PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL).

On the other hand, the foreign investment side appeared quiet, with the highest transaction totaling only around 21 million shares. Foreign investors purchased 21.51 million shares of PT PAM Mineral Tbk (NICL) and 21.10 million shares of PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM). The net volume for these two issuers was 16.91 million shares and 13.03 million shares, respectively. Aside from that, foreign stakeholders purchased 15.32 million shares of PT Panin Financial Tbk, despite the fact that the net volume was only 7.57 million shares. Finally, foreign investors increased their stakes in PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SMGR) and PT Jaya Swarasa Agung Tbk (TAYS) by 11.96 million shares and 7.87 million shares, respectively. (KD)
