JAKARTA. The owner of PT Bank Mayapada Internasional Tbk (MAYA), Dato Sri Tahir, has injected IDR 893.5 billion of fresh funds in the rights issue of MAYA that started on January 3, 2023. This capital distribution is intended to improve the capital structure of PT Bank Mayapada Internasional Tbk, as mentioned in the information disclosure of the company yesterday (5/1).

The information disclosure further revealed that Tahir had channelled said funds on December 29, 2022, through PT Mayapada Karunia of IDR 299.4 billion and PT Mayapada Kasih of IDR 594.1 billion. For the record, Tahir owns 28.89% and 4.73% of both companies’ portion in MAYA.

Bank Mayapada is currently issuing pre-emptive rights to raise its capital, also known as a rights issue. It offers 9,820,866,145 units of series B shares from January 3 to 9, 2023. As of Q3 2022, its core capital clocked up to IDR 12 trillion, while as of now, its capital adequacy ratio (CAR) reached 13.44%.

MAYA had shown impressive growth in Q3 2022, boasting a net profit of IDR 109.47 billion, increasing 319% year-on-year (yoy) from IDR 26.13 billion. Furthermore, it had channelled IDR 91 trillion of credits and recorded third-party funds of IDR 109.1 trillion. (AM/ZH)
