JAKARTA - Asian Investor, UK-based Haymarket Limited Group, confirmed Bank Indonesia as the best foreign exchange management institution (best asset owner) in Southeast Asia.

On the asininvestor.net website on Friday (10/2), the 2022 Asian Investor Institutional Excellence Award was awarded for BI's achievements in operational aspects, asset management innovation, and ability to adapt to developments in financial markets and the economy.

BI's policy towards managing foreign exchange reserves is considered consistent, innovative and synergistic.

Apart from BI, the institution also awarded the same appreciation to the Public Official Benefit Association (Poba), a Pension Fund Institution, in Seoul, South Korea.

As of January 2023, Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves were recorded at US 139.40 billion. (LK/LM)
