JAKARTA – The export value until January 2023 reached USD 22.31 billion, shrinking 6.36% from December 2022 record of USD 28.83 billion. However, it was seen increasing 16.37% from USD 19.17 billion booked in the same period last year.

According to Statistics Indonesia (lit. Badan Pusat Statistik/BPS) quoted on Thursday (16/2), the export value was made up by the oil and gas sector of USD 1.49 billion and non-oil and gas sector of USD 20.83 billion. The contributors in the non-oil and gas sector included the manufacturing industry of USD 15.65 billion, mining industry of USD 4.81 billion, and other industries of USD 0.37 billion.

The top three export destination countries include China, which generated USD 5.25 billion, the United States of USD 1.95 billion, and Japan of USD 1.89 billion. (LK/ZH)
