JAKARTA. PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) or PLN has struck a deal with Elsewedy Electric Indonesia to handle the 150 kV substation project for the Top Tier Consumer Data Centre in the Greenland International Industrial Center (GICC), Deltamas, Cikarang.

The contract is worth USD 12.6 million or approximately IDR 188.5 billion. The collaboration was initiated through an agreement that had been signed by Elsewedy and PLN yesterday (8/3).

Hany Gamal, President Director of Elsewedy, expressed his enthusiasm in participating in one of PLN’s strategic projects. “This project may advance the economic progress and equal distribution in Indonesia, as well as enhancing welfare of citizens of people across several regions in Indonesia,” he added in the press release.

For the record, Elsewedy is a power transformer manufacturer and supplier. The project initiated by Elsewedy and PLN includes the provision of power transformator, civil works, as well as infrastructures, all of which are targeted for completion in 2024. (KR/ZH)
