JAKARTA - The volume of shares that foreign investors bought and sold was around 2.7 billion shares on Thursday, March 16. The slight difference, only 48,676,600, became a minus because the sales volume was slightly higher than the buys. The shares with the highest volume of foreign purchases this time, PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), were purchased in as many as 1.45 billion shares, with a net volume of 218.97 million. Meanwhile, 167.36 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) were sold by foreign investors, resulting in the lowest net volume of -111.89 million shares.

Foreign investors also sold a large number of shares in PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) and PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA), namely 96.15 million MDKA and 92.94 million GIAA. Nonetheless, the net volumes of the two were very different, with MDKA reporting -20.52 million shares and GIAA recording -90.35 million shares. Furthermore, foreign investors released 76.60 million shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), with a negative net volume of nearly half of it at -34.98 million. A total of 42.32 million PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) shares were also sold, for a net volume of around -21.74 million.

Around 79.8 million of PT MNC Asia Holding Tbk (BHIT) shares, on the other hand, were purchased by foreign investors, even though the net volume did not even reach 12 million shares. Next, PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) obtained a net volume of 25.74 million shares because 30.29 million of its shares were in demand, while 19.77 million shares of PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) were also purchased, with a net volume of around 15 million shares. Finally, foreigners purchased up to 15.40 million shares of PT Puradelta Lestari Tbk (DMAS), closing DMAS' net volume at 10.84 million shares. (KD)
