JAKARTA - BUMA Australia Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk (DOID), has obtained a new mining service contract worth AUD 60 million or approximately IDR 598.7 billion from BHP and Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA).

Ronald Sutardja, President Director of DOID, said that this contract will be effective for the next 18 months, with an average production of 7 MBCM per annum. “We have been selected to provide mining services in Saraji mining area,” he confirmed in the press release quoted Monday (17/4).

Saraji mine is one of the largest coal mines in Australia. This mine was first developed in 1974. The contract secured by BUMA includes an extension option for another 18 months.

As of now, BUMA Australia is providing pre-strip mining services, as well as coal mining services in Blackwater, Goonyella Riverside, and Saraji in Queensland. On top of it, the company also offers its coal mining services to Bowen Cooking Coal in Broadmeadow East and Burton Mines. (LK/ZH)
