JAKARTA. PT Saraswanti Anugerah Makmur Tbk (SAMF), a fertiliser manufacturer and distributor, booked IDR 145.63 billion of net profit in Q1 2023.

SAMF’s net profit in Q1 2023 was seen shifting 84.24% year-on-year (yoy) higher. In Q1 2022, the company only managed to score IDR 79.04 billion of net profit.

The net profit growth of SAMF in Q1 2023 was further propelled by the revenue that reached IDR 1.52 trillion. In this period, the sales rose 81.79% yoy.

Yahya Taufik, President Director of SAMF, said that the company’s performance growth is in line with the implementation of manufacturing excellence and the digital system for fertilisers in the company’s production plant. “The productivity rate for fertiliser will continue to be improved to support the national food resilience program,” he added in the official statement.

Taufik admitted that the current national fertiliser industry is struggling to deal with a wide gap between demand and supply. “Therefore, SAMF is committed to ensure the reliability of the production plant, the raw material supply, the distribution punctuality,” he stated.

For the record, SAMF is targeting to secure 20% sales growth, supported by factory and distribution optimalisation. (KR/ZH)
