JAKARTA. KBank, a financial services company from Thailand, is committed to making PT Bank Maspion Indonesia Tbk (BMAS) the largest bank in East Java and one of the 20 largest banks in Indonesia based on its loan portfolio by 2027.

This commitment follows the acquisition of 67.5% of BMAS shares, which was carried out by KBank at the end of last year. This is part of KBank's expansion plan in the regional area and increasing financial inclusion.

Pattarapong Kansasuwan, Executive Vice President of KBank, said that KBank's commitment is in line with the main key needed by Indonesia to boost economic growth. "We aim to leverage our strong corporate customer base in Thailand and regional network to provide a variety of financial solutions and create growth opportunities for customers in Indonesia in terms of value chain, trade and investment," said Kansasuwan, in his official statement.

To achieve its target of making BMAS the largest bank, KBank has established a BMAS business strategy based on customer segments. In addition, KBank has also prepared a customer-oriented digital banking strategy, as well as expansion based on the principle of sustainability.

“Indonesia is a market that has very promising financial growth potential. We are very pleased to be part of Indonesia's efforts to achieve financial inclusion by extending our expertise and strong regional banking network to Indonesia," said Kansasuwan. (KR/LM)
