JAKARTA – PT Yulie Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk (YULE) is optimistic that its operating profit at the end of 2023 will surpass 2022’s record, in which the revenue reached IDR 74.95 billion.

Agustinus Sumandar, Director of Yulie Sekuritas Indonesia, said that his company aims to secure revenue higher than the 2022’s number. “We will try to score revenue that exceeds this year’s [2022],” he said during Public Expose of YULE in Jakarta earlier today (5/5).

YULE has shown positive trend in its performance within the past three years. In 2020, the company recorded loss of IDR 7.22 billion, followed by profit surge in 2021 to IDR 80.68 billion, before slipping off to IDR 56.24 billion of profit in 2022.

According to Sumandar, the declined operating profit resulted from higher unrealised gain, or shrinking gains on securities’ trading activities from IDR 100.15 billion in 2021 to IDR 62.64 billion in 2022. On the contrary, brokerage services generated higher revenue, shifting 82.20% year-on-year (yoy) from IDR 1.16 billion to IDR 2.11 billion. Furthermore, dividend and interest income proliferated 362% yoy from IDR 2.19 billion in 2021 to IDR 10.15 billion in 2022. (LK/ZH)
