JAKARTA - PT Tempo Inti Media Tbk (TMPO)'s revenue grew 11.61% in 2022 to IDR 211.1 billion, but recorded a loss of IDR 1.17 billion, which was affected by an increase in revenue expenses. In 2021, this issuer pocketed a profit of IDR 3.99 billion with a revenue of IDR 189.13 billion.

In a public expose in Jakarta, Tuesday (9/5), Ari Zulkifli, President Director of PT Tempo Inti Media Tbk (TMPO) said that the increase in revenue was due to an increase in revenue from the printed goods segment of IDR 17.7 billion, Tempo.co IDR 13.8 billion, TempoTV IDR 1.3 billion, and paper Rp 600 million.

The decline in revenue occurred in magazine circulation and advertisements of IDR 2.1 billion, newspaper circulation and advertisements of IDR 600 million, event organizer services of IDR 400 million, and creative home services of IDR 8.3 billion.

According to him, the revenue growth was accompanied by an increase in operating expenses of IDR 8.7 billion. The increase came from an increase in marketing and selling expenses of IDR 5.8 billion, consisting of IDR 678 million for salaries, IDR 179 million for shipping, IDR 450 million for promotions and IDR 4.5 billion for overhead.

An increase in administration and general expenses of IDR 3 billion, which includes a salary increase of IDR 1.4 billion, post-employment benefits of IDR 2 billion, depreciation of IDR 679 million, and a decrease in office operations of IDR 56 million and equipment of IDR 1 billion. In addition, there was a decrease in other operating income of IDR 1.7 billion and a decrease in other operating expenses of IDR 1.8 billion.

He conveyed that the company had returned wages and employee rights in full as before the COVID-19 pandemic. "The adjustment follows government regulations regarding wages, bearing in mind that human resources are the company's main capital that must be properly valued in the midst of competition in the media industry," he said.
