JAKARTA - On Friday, May 5, net foreign volume returned to the red zone. Foreign investors purchased a total of 3.10 billion shares, while they sold 3.15 billion. As a result, the net foreign volume was slightly negative, standing at -51.87 million shares. This time, PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) shares had the lowest net volume. Foreigners sold a total of 1.59 billion GOTO shares, for a net volume of -411.24 million shares. Meanwhile, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) reported the highest net volume, at 598.52 million shares, which were purchased by foreigners in the amount of 681.91 million shares.

Following GOTO, PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) reported a relatively low net volume, namely -81.30 million, after foreigners sold 95.02 million of their shares. Following that, foreign investors sold 42.43 million shares of PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL), a nickel mining issuer, resulting in a net volume of around -33.74 million shares. The following two issuers, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) and PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN), both sealed net volumes of around 25 million shares. Foreign sales volume to TLKM, however, reached 73.41 million shares, while MNCN was only around 30.65 million.

Foreign investors, on the other hand, purchased a large number of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) shares, totaling more than 123.82 million shares. Yet BBRI's net volume was low in comparison to other issuers, at around 24.32 million shares. With 35.63 million shares and a foreign purchase volume of 38.47 million, PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), in fact, had the second-highest net volume after BUMI. Finally, PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS) and PT Surya Esa Perkasa Tbk (ESSA) reported net volumes in the negative 30-31 million share range.
