JAKARTA - On Friday, May 19, as many as 3.05 billion shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) were selling well among foreign investors. The net foreign this time rose to a surplus of 1,933,356,800 shares due to GOTO's fantastic net volume of 1.94 billion shares. According to reports, foreign investors themselves purchased 4.49 billion shares and sold 2.56 billion.

With a net volume of 94.39 million shares, foreign investors bought nearly 150 million shares of issuer bank PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), which was exactly behind GOTO. Then, 66.43 million shares of PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS), a company that produces palm oil, were bought by foreign investors. They did not dispose of many NSSS shares, so the net volume was relatively high, at roughly 66.32 million shares. The private bank PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) and the automotive issuer PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) each reported about 37.5 million shares in net volume, although the sales volumes were quite different at 53.25 million for ASII and 88.97 million for BBCA.

However, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), a mining company, saw a sale of 107.63 million shares, resulting in the lowest net volume of -40.72 million shares. Then, foreigners released 37.86 million shares in the real estate company PT Pakuwon Jati Tbk (PWON) and 32.83 million shares in the airline PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA). The net volume for the two issuers was about -29 million shares each. A little bit higher, after 45.10 million of its shares were sold, PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) recorded a net volume of -28.61 million shares. Last but not least, foreigners sold 24.70 million shares of financial issuer PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk (BCAP) for a net volume of -24.12 million shares. (KD)
