JAKARTA - On Wednesday, June 7, foreign net volume significantly decreased to just 63.53 million shares after shocking the market with an extremely high surplus just the day before. Even though it's not as great as it was the previous few days, this figure stayed on the positive side. With a total of 3.19 billion shares purchased by foreigners and 3.12 billion shares sold, foreign transactions as a whole were leveling off. Shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) were still bought in the largest quantity (1.50 billion), and its net volume (128.16 million shares) was also the highest. A foreign sales volume of 75.65 million as well as this time's lowest net volume, -49.06 million shares, were then reported by the mineral mining issuer PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS).

Just below GOTO, foreign investors bought shares of PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES), a company that sells home appliances, for as many as 149.02 million, with a relatively high net volume of 125.65 million shares. They also purchased 110.98 million shares of telecommunications company PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) and 104.57 million shares of coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), respectively. These two issuers' net volumes, 68.81 million FREN and 42.94 million BUMI, were considered quite substantial. With a volume of purchases of 30.20 million units, the media issuer from the MNC Group, PT Global Mediacom Tbk (BMTR), also attracted attention from abroad. Because BMTR's foreign sales volume is so tiny, the net volume can be as high as 28.91 million shares.

PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), a different media issuer, came in second on the list of top sellers with a net volume of -42.41 million shares. The number of SCMA shares sold by foreigners was approximately 51.89 million. PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS), having a sales volume of only about 37.70 million shares, came in next with a net volume of -34.76 million. Finally, two national banks, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), reported a net volume of approximately -21 million shares as foreign investors released 73.38 million BMRI and 93.49 million BBRI from their holdings.
