Waskita Beton only secures 17.35% of new contract target
JAKARTA. The new contract secured by PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk (WSBP) up to the first five months of 2023 only reached IDR 659.5 billion or 17.35% of the total target set for 2023, amounting to IDR 3.8 trillion in total.
Fandy Dewanto, Vice President of Corporate Secretary of WSBP, is optimistic that this target could be attained, as the company believes that the infrastructure and construction market is still highly potential. “The infrastructure market is still driven by national strategic projects and IKN construction,” he said, as quoted by Kontan last week.
In order to obtain this objective, the company has set up several strategies, including market and user diversification to mitigate risks in the next political year for the company and focus on the implementation of business transformation programs.
Dewanto then added that these new contracts mostly came from the external market, equal to 66% of the contracts, while the internal takes up another 34%. (AM/ZH)
