JAKARTA - The volume of shares traded by foreign investors on Tuesday, July 25, was in the range of 2.5 billion shares. Total foreign purchases amounted to approximately 2.52 billion shares, while total foreign sales amounted to roughly 2.53 billion shares. This time, foreign net volume closed slightly dropping lower, at -11.14 million shares. With 731.99 million shares, PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) had the highest foreign sales volume. GOTO's net volume was -141.65 million, once again becoming the highest in the market. In contrast, foreign purchases of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) shares totaled 275.86 million shares, with the highest net volume of 98.17 million this time.

Furthermore, PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) reported 77.73 million shares in foreign sales. This oil and gas exploration company's net volume was right after the GOTO and was quite low, at around -60.78 million shares. Foreign investors then sold shares in the national airline PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) and the integrated coal mining company PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO), each of which had approximately 52 million shares. The two issuers then reported net volumes that were not too different, ranging between -46.36 million GIAA and -41.16 million ADRO. With a sales volume of 34.55 million, PT Alam Sutera Realty Tbk (ASRI) concluded the list of top-buy shares. Unfortunately, this housing developer’s shares did not sell well, and the net volume closed at around -34.26 million shares.

Following BUMI on the top buy list, however, was its own subsidiary, PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS). Foreigners purchased a total of 157.33 million shares of this mineral mining company, for a net volume of 65.77 million shares. Then, PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES), a home appliance retailer, reported a purchase volume of 86.14 million shares and a net volume of 55.23 million. Two prominent banks, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), topped the list with large amounts of foreign spending, totaling 95.48 million BBCA and 88.59 million BBRI, respectively. The net volumes of the two banks were also in the 30 million range, with BBCA's being 38.13 million and BBRI's being 34.26 million. (KD)
