JAKARTA - The net foreign volume fell further into the red zone on Wednesday, August 2, reaching -106,518,200 shares. The negative figure was caused by foreign investors selling 2.70 billion shares while purchasing only around 2.60 billion shares. With -205.16 million shares, digital issuer PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) had the lowest net volume this time, and its foreign sales volume was roughly 644.03 million shares. In contrast, foreign investors purchased 141.17 million shares of mining holding company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), with the highest daily net volume at 88.70 million shares.

The cinema company PT Nusantara Sejahtera Raya Tbk (CNMA) had the second-highest volume of foreign sales, with 382.54 million. Despite this, the net volume of CNMA did not fall below -50 million shares. Even though its sales volume was only around 65.79 million, the net foreign national airline company PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) was actually lower than CNMA, which was closed at -52.09. A total of 85.10 million shares of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), the national telecommunications company, were also dumped, with a net volume of nearly -36 million shares. Furthermore, around 33,86 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) were sold without significant foreign purchases, resulting in a net volume of -32.13 for this oil and gas issuer.

Meanwhile, foreign investors purchased shares in BUMI's subsidiary, PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), for as many as 94.40 million shares, with a net volume of 73.11 million, trailing BUMI as the second highest. Foreign investors, in fact, bought more shares of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), up to 122.69 million shares, but the e-commerce company's net foreign volume was only around 57.28 million shares. Approximately 56.80 million shares of the issuer of the electric vehicle sector, PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (VKTR), were also sold, followed by 41.84 million shares of the issuer of the copper and gold mining sector, PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN). Because foreigners did not sell many shares of the two issuers, the net volumes were relatively high, namely around 55.48 million VKTR and 38.31 million AMMN. (KD)
