JAKARTA - Foreign net volume was still down at the end of the fourth week, closing at minus 823,723,500 shares. On Friday, August 25, foreign investors bought 1.75 billion shares while selling 2.57 billion. The highest volume of shares sold was once again by PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), with 1.12 billion shares sold. With 747.90 million shares, this technology issuer also dominated net foreign volume.

Following that, foreign investors sold 56.91 million shares of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) without purchasing a single share, resulting in a negative net volume for the airline. Then, PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI)'s 50.44 million shares were sold with a net volume of -42.20 million, followed by palm oil producer PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS), which sold 71.44 million shares with a net volume of -35.76 million. Foreign investors also sold 48.18 million shares of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO), bringing the net volume of this geothermal energy producer to -22.73 million shares.

Meanwhile, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) and its subsidiary, PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), which is engaged in mineral mining, topped the top buy list. Foreign investors purchased 182.26 million BUMI shares and 198.21 million BRMS shares, resulting in 107.30 million BUMI shares and nearly 90 million BRMS shares of net foreign volumes. Foreign investors also purchased more than 80 million shares of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), bringing the net volume of the e-commerce company to around 36.29 million shares. They then bought 30.36 million shares of PT Sarana Mitra Vast Tbk (SMIL), a provider of forklift rentals; however, there were not many SMIL shares released, resulting in a net volume of 25.68 million shares. PT Mitra Investindo Tbk (MITI) shares, like SMIL, were not widely traded. This granite mining company's foreign purchase volume was 20.95 million units, with a net volume of 19.73 million.(KD)
