JAKARTA - On Tuesday, August 29, the total volume of foreign purchases and sales exceeded 4 billion units. Foreign investors purchased over 4.37 billion shares and sold 4.12 billion, resulting in a net foreign surplus of 242,768,300 shares. This time, property developer PT Sentul City Tbk (BKSL) had the highest purchasing volume and foreign net volume, totaling 256.02 million and 253.26 million shares, respectively. Meanwhile, technology firm PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) had the highest sales volume (2.17 billion shares) but the lowest net volume (-107.20 million).

BKSL was followed by PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) and PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), both of which had a net volume of more than 100 million shares, 107.45 million BUMI  and 101.20 million BRMS, to be precise. Foreign purchases from the two issuers were also relatively high, totaling 189.47 million BUMI shares and 177.87 million BRMS shares, respectively. Bumi Resources is a mining holding company, while Bumi Resources Minerals is one of its mineral mining subsidiaries. Furthermore, foreigners purchased as many as 157.98 million shares of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), despite the fact that the e-commerce company's net volume was roughly half that, at 83.50 million. In addition, foreigners purchased more than 131.66 million shares of shrimp producer PT Central Proteina Prima Tbk (CPRO), but the net volume was only around 46.79 million shares.

PT MNC Asia Holding Tbk (BHIT), on the other hand, reported foreign sales of 115.33 million with a net volume of nearly -90 million shares. Foreign ownership of 127.02 million shares in mining contractor PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) and 103.94 million shares in aviation company PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) was also diminished. Both issuers had negative net volumes of 68.01 million DEWA and 48.81 million GIAA  following that. Finally, PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (VKTR), an electric vehicle manufacturer, reported 34.62 million in foreign sales and a net volume of -27.97 million shares. (KD)
