JAKARTA - Net foreign volume fell to -636,173,400 shares at the end of the first week of September. On Friday, September 8, foreign investors purchased approximately 2.16 billion shares while selling somewhere near 2.79 billion shares. PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) reported the highest foreign sales volume of 656.69 million shares, with the lowest net volume of -576.58 million. Meanwhile, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) reported foreign purchases of 339.34 million shares, bringing the mining holding company's net volume to 155.06 million.

Behind GOTO, two state-owned enterprises also had quite low net volumes. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), a leading national bank, reported a net volume of -78.04 million, with 141.01 million shares sold. PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) followed through by reporting a net volume of -42.56 million shares after foreign investors sold 87.77 million shares of the telecommunications company. Additionally, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) had a negative net volume of nearly 35 million shares, while PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS) had a net volume of around -33.39 million. Interestingly, foreign investors only sold approximately 58.21 million BBCA shares but much more NSSS shares, at approximately 184.11 million units.

PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), on the other hand, trails its parent company, BUMI, with a surplus net volume of 98.70 million shares. Foreigners purchased approximately 226.32 million shares of this mineral mining company, followed by nearly 194 million shares of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA). The net volume of the e-commerce company was approximately 40.47 million shares. Property developer PT Sentul City Tbk (BKSL) also reported a net volume of nearly 40 million shares after foreign investors claimed 48.35 million of its shares. PT MD Pictures Tbk (FILM), a production house issuer, then closed the top buy list with a purchase volume of 33.37 million and a net volume of roughly half of that figure. (KD)
