JAKARTA – The stock of PT Alfa Energi Investama Tbk (FIRE) rose 27.54% amid the decline of Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) yesterday (3/10). This surge allowed FIRE to arrive at the top of the gainers’ list.

Based on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) data quoted Wednesday (4/10), FIRE was closed at IDR 88 yesterday, shifting IDR 19 from the previous IDR 69 per share. The highest and lowest transaction prices were recorded at IDR 93 and IDR 69 per share.

Positive sentiment towards this issuer drove investors to divest more, resulting in foreign sell of 2.47 million, whereas its foreign buy was stuck at 922,500. The volume of transactions reached 289.11 million shares being traded in 21,854 transactions worth IDR 25.12 billion.

In the meantime, the runner-up position is occupied by PT Rohartindo Nusantara Luas Tbk (TOOL). The stock increased 25.86% throughout yesterday’s session, resulting in closing price of IDR 73. It was IDR 15 higher than the previous IDR 58 per share. The peak of transaction price was at IDR 74 per share, while the lowest was recorded at IDR 57 per share.

The volume of traded shares clocked up to 78.90 million, recorded within 5,441 transactions worth IDR 5.44 billion. This momentum of surge is utilised by investors to collect TOOL’s shares, as seen from foreign buy of 10,000 shares and zero foreign sell. (LK/ZH)
