JAKARTA – Last Friday (13/10), the stock of  PT Jaya Agra Wattie Tbk (JAWA) climbed to top gainers after scoring 34.33% increase from previous transaction. The increase was seen amid the declining Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) nearing the closing last week.

Based on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) data quoted Monday (16/10), JAWA’s stock was closed at its peak, IDR 180 per share, or shifting IDR 46 from the previous closing price of IDR 134 per share. The lowest transaction price was IDR 134 per share.

The volume of traded shares reached 38.48 million, all recorded within 4,350 transactions worth IDR 6.23 billion. Positive sentiment in the capital market was made use by investors to rake in capital gain. Foreign sell was recorded at 2.27 million, while foreign buy was stuck at 1.24 million shares.

Occupying the runner-up position, PT Alfa Energi Investama Tbk (ALFA) also reportedly climbed 34.31% throughout last Friday (13/10). It was closed at its peak of IDR 184 per share or increasing IDR 47 from the previous closing of IDR 137 per share. ALFA’s lowest price was recorded at IDR 134 per share.

The volume of traded shares was recorded at 383.45 million within 28,822 transactions worth IDR 64.35 billion. Positive sentiment towards this particular stock drove a mass-purchase from investors, as foreign sell reached 11.92 million, whereas foreign buy was at 12.21 million shares. (LK/ZH)
