JAKARTA. PT Selamat Sempurna Tbk (SMSM), an automotive component manufacturer since 1980, announces its plan to distribute interim dividend of IDR 172.76 billion or IDR 30 per share.

Ang Andri Pribadi, Director of Finance of SMSM, confirmed that this interim dividend is in line with the decision made by the board of directors. "It had been approved by the board of commissioners on October 26, 2023,” said Pribadi in an official statement.

The interim dividend will be given to shareholders of SMSM whose names have been listed under Official Register of Shareholders by November 7, 2023. The payment will then be made on November 22, 2023.

As of September 30, 2023, SMSM booked net profit of IDR 649.83 billion. The company also had unrestricted retained earnings of IDR 2.89 trillion, while total equity clocked up to IDR 3.55 trillion.

It is worth mentioning that SMSM is indeed a constituent of Indeks Tempo-IDNfinancials52 that is the most royal in distributing jumbo amount of dividend. For the past 8 years, the company had distributed cash dividend for four times within a year.

"The dividend is paid every quarter since 2015. The amount keeps growing within the past 18 years," Pribadi mentioned in an exclusive interview with IDNFinancials last August. (KR/ZH)
