JAKARTA - Through its subsidiary, PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia (SMI), PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (MTDL) is now the official distributor of IBM in Indonesia, which is projected to be able to reinforce its IT services to the commercial segment.

This partnership with IBM will allow MTDL, through SMI, to offer IBM software and hardware products, as well as state-of-the-art server and storage, to commercial sector in Indonesia.

"Through collaboration with IBM, MTDL, via its subsidiary, SMI, is ready to develop generative artificial intelligence (AI) for businesses," Susanto Djaja, President Director of MTDL, mentioned in the press release quoted today (21/12).

Then, Lie Heng, Director of SMI, believes that this collaboration will further advance digital technology utilisation in Indonesia.

"We hope that through this collaboration with IBM, we can support many sectors and segments of enterprises in Indonesia to go through digital transformation as an effort to support Industry 4.0 and Golden Indonesia 2045," said Lie Heng. (ZH)
