JAKARTA - PT Manulife Asset Manajemen Indonesia (MAMI) has been reported ready to distribute its latest global mutual fund product, Manulife Saham Syariah ESG Transisi Global Dolar AS (MAGET) Class A2, to Indonesian investors this Thursday, January 18, 2024.

As mentioned by IDNFinancials oday (16/1), MAMI will work together with PT HSBC Indonesia to offer this global mutual fund, MAGET A2, through all branch offices of HSBC Indonesia and mobile applications, HSBC Indonesia Mobile Banking dan HSBC Internet Banking.

“The minimum investment is USD 10 thousand, and the next payment is available in multiples of USD 1 thousand,” said Lanny Hendra, Director of Wealth & Personal Banking of HSBC Indonesia, during the Press Conference of MAGET A2 Launch today (16/1).

With its global characteristic and adopting ESG parameter, MAGET A2 is projected to attract domestic investors that are keen to diversify their investment portfolio to world-class companies, while still paying attention to environmental issues.

“This product is suitable for those with high risk-profile or aggressive investors, as this is an offshore mutual fund,” added Hendra. “It is also suitable for those who want to optimise long-term opportunities, as the world’s interest in ESG issues will continue to grow.”

MAGET A2 invests in 10 top global companies that are adhering to ESG principles. Among others are Microsoft, Cisco, and First Solar from the United States, Air Liquide and Schneider Electric from France, and ABB from Swiss.

“We choose companies from various parts of the globe with extensive track records and those who are truly consistent in their field for years,” Katarina Setiawan, Chief Economist & Investment Strategist of MAMI, explained.

“In America, there are the US and Canada; in Europe, we have England, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, and Portugal; as well as Australia,” Setiawan added. “It does not rule out the possibility of expanding to Asian countries,” she continued. (ZH)
