JAKARTA - On Thursday, January 18, net foreign volume returned to the green zone at 169.12 million shares after experiencing a significant drop the day before. This figure was the difference between the total foreign buy of 2.04 billion shares and the total foreign sell of 1.87 billion.

The digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) had the best-selling shares, with foreign investors purchasing 547.66 million shares for a net volume of 200.13 million. In the renewable energy sector, 76.54 million shares of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) were acquired, for a net volume of 69.07 million shares. Aside from that, the purchase of shares in the coal mining business PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) and the local and foreign shipping company PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) almost hit 73 million shares, respectively. From these transactions, BUMI's net volume was 62.96 million shares, while BULL's was 46.53 million. The last shares purchased by foreign investors belonged to PT Citra Nusantara Gemilang Tbk (CGAS), a natural gas distributor, with 23.05 million shares bought and a net volume of 22.68 million shares.

On the share sales list, 107.92 million petrochemical and energy business PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) shares were sold, for a net volume of -68.81 million shares. Around 39.36 million shares of the marine and maritime services company PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI) were also sold, leaving a net volume of -33.10 million shares. Shares of the integrated media company PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) were then sold, totaling around 44.48 million shares with a net volume of -22.22 million shares, followed by the sale of 43.81 million shares of PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), which provides automotive, financial services, heavy equipment, mining, energy, agribusiness, information technology, infrastructure, and logistics with a net volume of -15.96 million shares. Finally, foreign investors sold 46.95 million shares of the e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) for a net volume of -13.61 million. (KD)
