JAKARTA - On Tuesday, January 30, foreign investors purchased 1.65 billion shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) for a net volume of 1.01 billion. This transaction had a substantial impact on the volume of foreign purchases, which was 3.33 billion shares, and the net foreign surplus, which was 1.17 billion shares. The foreign sales volume itself then totaled 2.16 billion shares.

Aside from GOTO, 95.17 million shares of the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) were bought, for a net volume of 75.32 million. In the coal mining sector, 107.60 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) were purchased, for a net volume of 68.71 million shares. Shares of the renewable energy company PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) were then purchased for 72.16 million shares, with a net volume of 64.80 million shares, followed by shares of the general mining contractor services company PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) for 54.51 million shares, with a net volume of approximately 42.95 million.

On the share sale list, 94.87 million shares of the state-owned airline PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) were sold for a net volume of -90.22 million shares. Then, PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) shares were sold for 26.93 million, with a net volume of -24.01 million shares. Furthermore, shares of PT MNC Sky Vision Tbk (MSKY), which provides pay TV subscriber management services, were sold for 21.44 million shares, resulting in a net volume of -18.43 million shares. Shares of banking company PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) were also sold for 90.30 million shares, and the net volume was -16.27 million shares. Finally, with a net volume of -15.18 million shares, foreign investors sold 88.35 million shares of PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), an automotive sector business. (KD)
