JAKARTA - PT Harta Djaya Karya Tbk (MEJA) is ready to branch out to a new business model, business-to-consumer (B2C) after securing its spot at the board through its initial public offering (IPO) today (12/2).

“Basically, we engage in interior designing, interior design consultancy, and furniture manufacture,” Richie Adrian Hartanto, President Director of MEJA, introduced his company during the Press Conference of Stock Listing of MEJA today (12/2).

Furthermore, Hartanto revealed the company’s vision to branch out to B2C business model after years of focusing in adopting B2B model.

“We have worked in the interior designing industry for a couple of years. We can now notice, in the B2C segment, which products will sell more. That is what we want to pursue this year,” claimed Hartanto.

During its years of conducting business in B2B model, MEJA has worked with several renowned companies, including Bank Mandiri, BJB, Traveloka, DHL, and Goodyear. “We are handling interior renovation projects,” added Hartanto.

This year, MEJA is aiming to complete the inerior renovation of Bank Mandiri’s offices in Palembang and Semarang. In addition, another project is commissioned by Asian Development Bank. “The total value of projects under pitching phase is almost IDR 200 billion,” said Hartanto.

Meanwhile, in the long run, Hartanto disclosed that MEJA is currently exploring a partnership plan with three companies for goods supply. “Two foreign companies and one in Indonesia. The three of them are major companies,” he said.

Furthermore, Hartanto also mentioned that the company will work together with a domestic developer to support the construction of a housing complex in East Java.

Until 11.30 AM WIB today (12/2), MEJA has shown 4% increase to IDR 107 per share. MEJA debuted today, listing 480 million of its shares and raising IDR 49.44 billion in the process. (ZH)
