JAKARTA – Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) strengthened during today’s (12/2) trading session. At the closing bell at 4 PM WIB, JCI arrived at 7,297.67.

On today’s morning session after a long weekend of Isra Mi’raj and Lunar New Year festivities, JCI opened at 7,273.52. The Index showed positive trend in the red zone until the first session’s closing bell and the opening of afternoon session.

Nevertheless, the trend of JCI seemed more positive compared to last Monday (5/2), in which JCI was stuck at 7,198.62, or on January 29 at 7,157.18. The positive trend of the Index this week is entailed by three newcomers in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). They are PT Multikarya Asia Pasifik Raya Tbk (MKAP), PT Harta Djaya Karya Tbk (MEJA), and PT Homeco Victoria Makmur Tbk (LIVE).

Other indexes that remained strong in the green zone include LQ45 that climbed 1.22% to 995.167, IDXLQ45LCL up 0.97% to 139.324, IDX30 that shifted 1.27% to 505.967, and IDX80 that crawled 0.84% to 133.835. (LK/ZH)
