JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) strengthened in the green zone throughout trading Friday (16/2). The index opened at 7,343.53 at 09.00 West Indonesia Time (WIB) and at 15.35 WIB at 7,328.05.

Based on data from the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI), the JCI touched its highest level at 7,359.10 at 09.35 WIB and lasted until the close of the morning trading session before noon. In the second session of stock trading, the index started to decline at 14.00 WIB, but was still in the green zone.

The JCI's journey this weekend was better compared to last week (7/2) ahead of the long Isra Mi'raj holiday and Chinese New Year on (8-9/2). The index's strengthening trend began at the beginning of this week (12/2) ahead of the presidential election (Pilpres) on (14/2).

A number of indices that appear to be in the green zone include LQ45 1,006,633, up 0.33%, IDXLQ45LCL at 141,155, up 0.26%, IDX30 511,997 or growing 0.38%, and IDX80 134,342 or up by 0.45%. (LK/LM)
