JAKARTA - PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk (BNII) reported net profit surge to IDR 1.79 trillion in 2023, up 65% year-on-year (yoy) from 2022 net profit of IDR 1.08 trillion. The profit growth was in line with increased interest and sharia income, as well as non-operating revenue of the company.

In the 2023 Financial Report quoted Friday (22/3), the interest and sharia income of Bank Maybank was recorded at IDR 11.88 trillion, up 14.25% yoy from 2022’s revenue of IDR 10.40 trillion. Interest income was IDR 9.40 trillion, increasing from IDR 8.31 trillion, while sharia income clocked up to IDR 2.48 trillion, growing from IDR 2.09 trillion in 2022.

The interest and sharia expenses were recorded at IDR 4.60 trillion, swelling from IDR 3.42 trillion. Therefore, net interest and sharia income arrived at IDR 7.23 trillion, 3.66% yoy higher than net interest and sharia income in 2022 of IDR 6.97 trillion.

The issuer reported 21.35% increase in other operating income to IDR 2.04 trillion from IDR 1.68 trillion. Meanwhile, for the net operating revenue clocked up to IDR 2.34 trillion, up 14.15% yoy from net operating revenue in 2022 of IDR 2.05 trillion. (LK/ZH)
