JAKARTA - The foreign buy volume on Tuesday, April 2, rose considerably from the previous day, reaching 3.63 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign sell volume was just 2.69 billion shares, resulting in a net foreign volume surplus of approximately 938.64 million. The shares with the highest purchases belonged to the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), with 1.52 billion shares purchased, and it recorded a net volume of 774.33 million shares.

Foreign investors then purchased 152.50 million shares of coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), for a net volume of 112.97 million shares. In the petrochemical and energy sectors, around 70.38 million shares of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) were purchased, and the net volume was 60.99 million shares. Then, 85.12 million shares of the e-commerce business PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) were purchased for a net volume of 38.46 million shares, followed by the purchase of 32.37 million shares of the tin mining company PT Timah Tbk (TINS) for a net volume of 26.17 million.

The top-sell list, on the other hand, was then dominated by sales of banking business stock. Foreign investors sold 301.87 million shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) for a net volume of -159 million shares, then 82.75 million shares of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) for a net volume of -47.56 million shares, and 54.31 million shares of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) for a net volume of -42.76 million shares. Apart from that, 135.64 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) in the mineral mining business were sold, with a net volume of -71.61 million shares.
