Foreign investors record first net buy in three weeks

JAKARTA – Investors recorded a net buy for the first time after three consecutive weeks of selling since early April 2025.
On Tuesday (22/4), foreign investors posted a net buy of IDR 122.07 billion. This figure remains significantly lower compared to the accumulated foreign net sell in the stock market, which has reached IDR 50.11 trillion since the start of 2025.
Shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) and PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) recorded the largest net buys, amounting to IDR 145.5 billion and IDR 139.8 billion, respectively.
Meanwhile, shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) posted the largest net sells, at IDR 174.3 billion and IDR 76.1 billion, respectively.
Throughout yesterday’s trading session, the total volume of shares traded across all markets reached 17.4 billion shares. The value of share transactions amounted to IDR 9.88 trillion across 1.09 million trades.
Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) rose by 1.43% or 92.3 points to 6,538.27. However, since the beginning of the year, the index remains down by 7.65%. (KR/ZH)
