BREN CEO Hendra Soetjipto: Profit up 18.7% in first quarter 2025

JAKARTA - PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) recorded positive performance growth in the first quarter of 2025, with net profit reaching US$ 34.24 million or Rp 567.09 billion, up 18.7% compared to the same period the previous year of US$ 28.83 million.
This increase was supported by a 5.1% rise in EBITDA to US$130 million. Meanwhile, revenue growth was 3.5% to US$150.47 million or IDR2.49 trillion, driven by full contributions from the geothermal and wind segments.
Hendra Soetjipto Tan, CEO of BREN, emphasised the company's optimism towards Indonesia's net-zero target and focus on expanding its renewable energy portfolio through asset retrofits and the development of new plants at Wayang Windu and Salak.
In addition, Hendra said, this move aims to improve efficiency, optimise capacity, and strengthen BREN's position in the national energy transition.
‘The company is confident that it can continue to create long-term value and contribute to decarbonisation goals,’ Hendra said.
As of 31 March 2025, BREN's total assets were recorded at US$3.8 billion, an increase compared to the end of 2024 position of US$3.79 billion. Meanwhile, the company's liabilities decreased by 0.66% to US$3.03 billion. (DH/LM)
