Total foreign capital outflow reaches IDR 5.46 trillion

JAKARTA – Total foreign capital outflow has reached IDR 5.46 trillion from the beginning of the year to Tuesday (27/5).
This figure is IDR 16.52 trillion lower than the total foreign outflow recorded from the beginning of the year to last week, which amounted to IDR 21.98 trillion.
Quoting a press release on Friday (30/5), Ramdan Denny Prakoso, Executive Director of Bank Indonesia’s Communication Department, reported the settlement data of foreign capital flows from the beginning of 2025 up to yesterday (27/5), as follows:
- Non-residents recorded a net purchase of IDR 47.10 trillion in the government bonds (SBN) market.
- Non-residents recorded a net sale of IDR 45.34 trillion in the stock market.
- Non-residents recorded a net sale of IDR 7.22 trillion in Bank Indonesia Rupiah Securities (SRBI).
Meanwhile, based on transactions during 26–27 May 2025, net foreign capital inflow amounted to IDR 1.50 trillion, consisting of:
- Non-residents recorded a net purchase of IDR 0.11 trillion in the stock market.
- Non-residents recorded a net purchase of IDR 2.02 trillion in the SBN market.
- Non-residents recorded a net sale of IDR 0.63 trillion in SRBI.
As for Indonesia’s 5-year CDS premium as of 27 May 2025, it stood at 79.33 basis points (bps), down from 82.56 bps on 23 May 2025. (LK/KR/ZH)
