JAKARTA – PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFIPT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM), and TLKM’s subsidiary PT Telkom Infrastruktur Indonesia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 26 May 2025 for collaboration on network infrastructure and internet ecosystem expansion.

According to Muhammad Rofik, Executive Vice President of Wholesale Service at TLKM, the partnership aims to accelerate equal access to digital services across Indonesia.

“By leveraging the infrastructure and technological strengths of all parties, we hope that all Indonesians can enjoy affordable internet services,” he stated in an official release, as quoted by Kontan on Monday (2/6).

Echoing Rofik’s remarks, Director of Solusi Sinergi Digital, Moh. Mustaghfirin, added that the collaboration will promote the availability of ‘People’s Internet,’ even in areas previously unserved by digital infrastructure.

“This cooperation is expected to soon move into the technical and commercial implementation stages,” he added.

The MoU encompasses collaboration on the use and development of metro-ethernet and IP Transit network infrastructure, enhancement of cloud-based and messaging digital services, and optimisation of Telkom’s Edge Data Center services, neuCentrIX.

Additionally, the two parties will work together in utilising passive infrastructure, such as towers, poles, fibre-optic ducting, and dark fibre.

Telkom and WIFI will also collaborate on deploying FTTX (Fibre to the X) technology via a Virtual Unbundling Line Access (VULA) scheme, along with managed services based on collaborative network optimisation and an integrated monitoring system. (DH/ZH)
