BCA and Manulife launch Manulife Liquid Fund USD Class A mutual fund

JAKARTA – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) and PT Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia (MAMI) have jointly launched their latest money market mutual fund product, the Manulife Liquid Fund USD Class A.
According to an official release received by IDNFinancials.com, the fund invests in a variety of US dollar-denominated financial instruments with maturities of less than one year.
BCA and MAMI designed the mutual fund as a liquid investment instrument, allowing redemption at any time.
“[The Manulife Liquid Fund USD Class A] is designed as an investment solution for various short-term goals, where capital liquidity and the ability to preserve USD deposit value are essential,” said Afifa, CEO and President Director of MAMI.
BCA Director Haryanto T. Budiman welcomed the collaboration.
“The launch of this mutual fund at BCA is expected to expand USD-based investment options for our customers and serve as an attractive alternative for those prioritising stability with the potential for optimal returns,” he added.
Echoing Haryanto’s remarks, Afifa added that this product is expected to serve as a portfolio diversification option amid market uncertainty.
“This mutual fund offers a diversification alternative that helps mitigate risks and serves as a stabiliser during turbulent market conditions,” she stated in the press release.
The new mutual fund product can be purchased starting from USD 100 through BCA branches offering mutual fund transaction services, as well as via the myBCA app.
According to Bloomberg data, the US dollar appreciated by 0.35% against the rupiah today, reaching IDR 16,309.5 as of 1:52 PM WIB, Tuesday (3/6). However, since touching IDR 17,051 on 8 April, the greenback has weakened by around 4%. (ZH)
