Net buy skyrocketed to 2.20 billion shares

JAKARTA— On Wednesday, June 4, transactions involving foreign investors on the Indonesia Stock Exchange finally moved into the green zone. In stark contrast to the net sell of 15 million shares the day before, today's foreign net buy reached 2.20 billion shares.
Compared to the previous trading day (3/6), when there were around 5 billion shares, the volume of foreign transactions, particularly foreign buys, seems to have increased.
A total of 7.14 billion shares of stock were purchased by foreign investors. Foreign investors then recorded a net buy of 2.20 billion shares because the sales volume (foreign sell) was only about 4.94 billion.
PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), the parent company of the digital service and e-commerce, had the biggest net buy volume today, with 1.56 billion shares. Approximately 1.80 billion shares were sold, and 3.36 billion shares were purchased by foreigners.
Second, as foreign buyers purchased 487.63 million shares and sold 291.17 million, PT MNC Land Tbk (KPIG), a real estate company, got a net buy of 196.45 million shares.
After that, PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) acquired 128.72 million shares. The mining contractor issuer saw the sale of about 96.12 million shares and the purchase of over 224.85 million shares by foreign investors.
Around 109.90 million shares of property developer PT Sentul City Tbk (BKSL) became the next foreign buy target, which also sold around 11.43 million shares. A net buy of 98.46 million shares was made by this issuer.
With a net buy of 82.63 million shares, PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA), a manufacturer of batteries for electric vehicles, ended the top buy row. Approximately 328.91 million shares were purchased by MBMA's overseas investors, while 246.27 million shares were sold.
On the other side, today's top sell list includes shares of two national banks. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) got a net sell of 100.03 million shares, and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) got 22.37 million shares.
Approximately 110.16 million shares were purchased by BBRI's overseas investors, while 210.19 million shares were sold. In the meantime, 92.51 million BMRI shares were sold, and 70.13 million were purchased by foreigners.
Still in the banking sector, foreigners purchased 41.68 million shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) and sold 67.33 million shares, resulting in a net sell of 25.64 million shares.
In the mining sector, foreigners purchased 34.69 million shares of PT Central Omega Resources Tbk (DKFT), but they also sold 82.38 million shares , resulting in a net sell of 47.69 million shares.
Finally, after foreigners purchased 23.47 million shares and sold 43.96 million, nickel mining company PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) had a net sell of 20.49 million. (KD)
