The processing industry was able to record an export value of USD131.13 billion in January-December 2020, an increase of 2.95 percent over the same period the previous year. This positive performance made the manufacturing sector trade balance throughout 2020 a surplus of USD14.17 billion.

Non-oil and gas exports from the processing industry during January-September 2020 were recorded at USD94.36 billion. This achievement shows that the manufacturing sector still provides the largest contribution to the total value of national exports in the same period.
