JAKARTA - PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) will complete the CAP II petrochemical project in 2024 with a capacity of 125% higher than CAP I production. This project realisation is expected to support the company's growth, after the completion of the polyethylene project in 2019.

According to Fong Adhyatma, General Manager of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), the next achievement for the company was to complete the CAP II petrochemical complex. As of now, CAP II is in the process of selecting strategic investors, and the final investment decision making will be taken in 4Q2020.

The project has been running according to the plan since 2017, and the construction progress has entered the fourth phase; which will cover the final investment decision making, EPC work, financial close, operational preparation, and to operate in the second semester of 2024.

In 2019, BRPT will realise a number of business plans, which are believed to increase the company's revenues in the coming years. One of the achievements is completing the polyethylene plant with a production capacity of 400KTA, and the completion of debottlenecking in 110 KTA polypropylene plant in 2019. "Next, MTBE or Butene-1, which is estimated to be complete in 2020," he said. (LK/W)
